One of the kids wanted to try #linux, and I happened to have an old T420 kicking around, so downloaded a #LinuxMint cinnamon edition, dd'd to a USB key, and set about doing some teaching.
Which, there wasn't really much to do. We were like 5 minutes on the install process, where little needed explaining.
Not zero, as there were LVM/ZFS/encryption choices to be made, but no need to delve into partitioning or anything to get it done.
It's such a different world from my first go (#Redhat 5.2).
