   @enigmatico @oshy Roblox is also strongly against Linux for anticheat reasons. Companies do like their security threat solutions.

     @oshy@ak.kawen.space The steam deck uses Linux and most games will work, even with tweaks, thanks to Valve's proton. If you were to play on a PC, it would be the same but with better hardware.
     
     The reason why some games like Fortnite wont work is because they use a kernel level anticheat that will only work on Winblows. Butthats good because we dont want kernel level anticheats because they are a major security threat. The Crowdstrike incident is a good example of what can happen when you are running third party software at ring 0.

     The steam deck is cool because it honestly just plays any PC game
     
     Even the ones that say they don't work usually do if you fuck with it a lil
     
     The only exception is games where the devs specifically disallow steam deck users to play because of DRM or whatever. Sadly Fortnite is one of those
