@SuperDicq not really, that same cab is available in sit-down version (although not sure if pedals would be comfortable on it either. And game's available in "proper racing cab" version too, not unlike wangan. I'm guessing arcade owner doesn't have proper cab for it. image.png
@dick@SuperDicq i mean it's an option. Check this out, two sit-down cabs, two stand-up cabs of :sega: Rally Championship. Stand-up ones also differ, one has better pedals other has worse (not visible in photo). It's all about which cabs the place has. image.png
@dick@SuperDicq naturally, plus footprint. But still. That cab in OP is actually jambo safari/crazy taxi cab repurposed for initial d - you can see the zebra pattern on the "speaker" below. The cab itself is a (modified?) Naomi/NetCity cab, which comes in stand-up and sit-down cabs, so i imagine owner could have adapted a sit-down cab for it.
InitialD Version 3 didn't even come in stand-up cab, or at least i can't find any evidence of it existing. Crazy Taxi did, however and at very least it had a "coat rack" in the back so you could at least rest yourself on it and not lose balance while standing and shifting legs between pedals image.png image.png image.png image.png
@SuperDicq@dick the cab is literally Jambo Safari one, as i said before - look at the speaker it still says "Hit the trail to save safari animals!". The IO panel looksl ike Jambo Safari one as well, with crazy taxi sticker over start button for some reason. The "change view" looks like a custom thing owner did. image.png image.png
@SuperDicq@dick i mean there's no way it's official cab, it's just owner had the guts of the initial d cab and put it into whatever he had, can't blame them as jambo safari is not a good game
