     a lot of people ask questions like "why did the nazis keep fighting" and thats a good question one answer is peace deals the longer you drag out the war the more you show ur enemy that u wont surrender without some concessions unless they want to fight a forever war this was also the japanese strategy and they likely would have gone through with it if it were not for the soviet invasion of manchuria the fall of germany and the nukes if you want a successful example look no further than north korea a country we waged a war of extermination on that would just could not keep up
