Talked to a coworker today whose wife is pregnant and is due in about a month. He mentioned that he'll be taking paternity leave from Nov - Feb to stagger against his wife's. If you do some quick math, you might notice that implies her maternity leave is only about two months. And she can only take that long because she's dipping into her PTO.
All of that sucks, right? Here's the kicker: she's a nurse. Working at a hospital.
