   Phillips Hue keeps threatening me they're going to shut down everything. I put their app on a side device that wont download things and I don't update it, and I put their bridge on a no-internet-access VLAN - but I'd like to just not deal with their shit.

   Is there a bulb that doesn't deal with their shit?

     I mostly have bulbs as a way to be able to dim things, and also as good visual reminder to my kids of it getting late when they're not sleeping.

     @silverwizard connect them directly to home assistent with zigbee. Your life will be better. :)
     I bought the home assistent yellow, but there are tons of options to do this. I had a lot of resistance as it felt like a lot of work but it’s worth it.

     Get a sonoff zigbee usb coördinator, with zigbee2mqtt, and you are golden
