   "Will Inspector Sands please go to the control room" is being announced at Euston Station.

   That's code for "fire in the control room".

   And now they're trying to evacuate and people aren't paying attention.

     "Due to a purported emergency, please leave the station immediately." (translation: now it's serious)

     hardly anyone moves

     "Please follow staff instructions." (translation: could folks maybe panic just a teensy bit?)

     I'm almost out by this point

     as I leave the building, I hear sirens in the distance

     Somehow this seems extremely British.
