   I feel like just a few short months ago, my opinions of Fedi were respected by the devs and leaders in this space.

   Now, fast forward a bit later, I barely get any engagement from them.

   Well, what changed? I suspect my criticisms of Mastodon and specifically Eugen.

   That's kinda sad considering there's obviously a lot to be critical about, including lack of moderation features and worrying upcoming features that they seemingly care about more than moderation, which is really weird...😒

   The fact that I'm getting basically nobody reciprocating those criticisms is quite telling regarding the future of Fedi and it doesn't seem good.

   Fedi pats itself on the back for being decentralized. Yet we allow one project and instance to dominate the space, controlling who and what can be said and seen by the wider Fediverse.

   It's very concerning and I worry about the future viability of this place if we continue to allow Fedi to go down this path of centralization.

     @Jerry well, there's specific folks I'm talking about. Admins of other major instances and such that are here on a daily basis. They're mutuals, I see them.

     It is what it is, really. But for some reason, I tend to get a bad feeling about things before they somehow sour later on. My feelings have been wrong a couple times. However, the 72% share of Fedi that Mastodon has grips on, does not feel good in my gut.

     @BeAware Could just be Mastodon in general. I see a lot less traffic hitting my queues than a few months back. Possible?

     @Jerry Overall, it's just me, complaining about something that's not in my control whatsoever.

     It just sucks having this bad feeling about something I care so deeply about.😔

     I like this place. I don't want it to become "lightly decentralized twitter"
