   There are a lot of repeat offenders that appear on the FediBlock list over and over again - not just when they're rediscovered but also over time.

   If you're moderating a server, you please check and see if the instance you're about to report to FediBlock exists on one or more Community blocklists:

     @hachyderm It should also be noted to take those blocklists with a MASSIVE grain of salt as Oliphant has been proven to not be trustworthy regarding their lists.

     Lies and biases have made the list several times.

     I was even on the Tier 3 list for "ableism" before they decommissioned it. One look at my profile should tell anyone I'm definitely not ableist. I'm disabled.🤦♂️

     If you find that you are rediscovering a lot of well known bad actors, it might be looking into checking out Community blocklists to see if any of them are a good fit for you.

     You can review what's on the blocklist as well.

     Hachyderm's blocklist is ~400 instances. We're looking at applying tags so we can get more nuanced data out of them.

     That said, blocklists aren't the only solution to hateful online content. They are just one step that will help you learn from what others have found. 2/2
