   EVENT ONE

   Was a new source of energy
   A cheaper, more efficient source
   But it released a poison
   A deadly, corrosive gas
     We call it oxygen
   Into the air

   They couldn't help themselves
   The new energy was so cheap
   So easy to produce
   So easy to reproduce
   Everywhere it was used
   Slowly but surely
   The atmosphere was eaten away
   The poison built up
   Smothering
   Until
   It killed
   Everything
   But the death factories

     😜 Earth didn't originally come with an oxygen atmosphere. It was made after the fact.
