Imagine being able to create, share and subscribe to blocklists that auto update when the blocklist author adds/removes entries.
Sounds too good to be true eh? ✨

@pixelfed Other fediverse software will be able to add support for this as we're using ActivityPub for this feature!
Fedi Devs: if you're interested in interop, lets chat!
@lwflouisa @nebula Thanks for responding.
I wonder if we set a reasonable limit of 200 or 250 max accounts per block list, if that would solve this issue, as it would make it less desirable to abuse you described, while also allowing for legitimate use.
Please let us know if that is something you think could resolve your worries, and if not, if you have other ideas on how to improve a feature like this to prevent abuse, do let us know.
We want to get it right, and your opinion matters a lot ❤️
@nebula @lwflouisa Yeah, we are curious to hear your feedback.
@pixelfed @nebula Ah ok on twitter when I was targeted by a specific far right harassment campaign, one of the things that was done would shove a bunch of LGBT people ( myself included ) into blocklists, even though we're the ones it's suppose to benefit, and used to target fellow LGBT comic creators.
( I actually stopped using Mastodon for a while, as they were trying to do that on here as well, but trying to do false reports against LGBT people. )
@lwflouisa @pixelfed Could you elaborate on this?
@pixelfed And prone to abuse and misuse by people whom vested interest is in harming minorities.
