     Unfortunately, every time I open my timeline, I'm greeted with multiple Anti-AI posts from mutuals, leaving me disheartened and not wanting to deal with the criticisms.😔

     @exerra at least you can distinguish your criticisms. Most do not and lump everything together.

     On your second note regarding your attempts to mimic that style. I have quickly made these with Midjourney to see the results and it's not perfect, but it kinda works.🤷♂️

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live I think LLM models are way too overused for far too little benefit, there's only a few practical usecases/products for it, however it is incredibly powerful in those situations.
     
     AI art is cool imo because I can't draw, and I don't have the money to commission every idea that pops up in my head. Currently I am trying to replicate this kind of style with portraits, and I'm sure commissioning someone would be faster and better, but certainly not cheaper. Also, it's more fun and interactive this way!

     @exerra unfortunately it won't be achievable unless you train a model on a lot of images of yourself and a lot of images with this style.

     You *might* get something that resembles physical characteristics you have, but I won't look like you really.😬

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live I've managed to get it similar as well, but my main goal is to be able to put in a portrait of myself for example and get an image spat out that is close enough. I'm very new to this though so going to take a while for that (if I can even achieve it)!

     @BeAware It's a bad feeling to be sure. It's also unfair. You're not individually responsible for the AI trend.
     
     I think if companies weren't allowed to use AI art, full stop, that's one thing. But art, especially visual art, is already deeply undervalued.
     
     Visual artists saw how online machine translation services gave medium and larger companies a reason to reduce the number of translation/localization projects they contracted, and they can see themselves similarly threatened.
     
     One person making a set of images with an AI tool is fun.
     
     Book/Music publishers using AI generated cover artwork instead of paying an artist is harder to accept.

     @NaClKnight the problem comes when nobody distinguishes the two.

     I'm not a multi billion dollar conglomerate making oogles off of work that I could have hired an artist for, I'm a man on disability income that's trying to be creative cause I can't draw.😩

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live True, but maybe it doesn't have to be a lot of images. Photo AI trains a model on your selfies, and the landing page says that 20-30 photos are needed. Just got to mess around with training models a bit.
