Just learned about 500.social which is a Mastodon instance that
1. Is intentionally small, limited to 500 users
2. Requires patronage, albeit a minimal one.
3. It's helmed by @kev , who's also co-captain of fosstodon.org.

I've said it before, I'll say it today, I think this is the future of Mastodon: user-supported and small.

I'm intrigued. Tempted, even. Check it out.
