   Is it worse to support Donald Trump *because* he's a racist, or to support Donald Trump *despite* him being a racist, because he'll remove SEC regulations to protect small investors from pump-and-dump scams?

   I go back and forth. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

     @evan my feelings towards the idea of a person that supports, explicitly, because of racism is more sadness than moral outrage. Their worldview is untethered, it must have come from being lied to, it's evidence of victimhood. The moral outrage is displaced onto those who cynically create the racist environment, despite knowing they're making it up, and for those who perpetuate it for personal gain, despite not being fooled.
