   @gijs @mjjzf Right now, I think using v3 only makes sense if you want to help with development, it is not ready for production.
   About php-pear on a shared hosting, I guess you should ask your provider to disable it. I have no experience with shared hosting though; maybe ask @senooken

     @gijs Do you know if the Debian PEAR-PHP issue with #GNUSocial you discussed at https://www.hillenius.net/post/gnusocial/ is resolved or there is a workaround?
     I am trying to install it on a shared hosting.
