   I have an #idea. It’s good for people and good for #democracy.

   I saw the failure of mainstream #media to report on important stories in an information war, and the rise of citizen #researchers who educated us and who are #writing the #history that will be read later, and I think they deserve #pulitzer-like #awards and accolades for their contributions.

     Here’s my plan to provide a unified solution to the disinformation on social media that harms us as information citizens and voters — harming our democracy in the process.

     Corporate capture of #media and targeting of #journalists has contributed to the #trust fails of the #FourthEstate. It’s taking people a long time to figure out the landscape has changed. There is no neutral point of view, there are only multiple views and people don’t know how to parse that. What’s the solution? I think it’s #generative trust building. #pointofview #impartiality #citizenjournalism #fifthestate #socialmedia #news #opensource #esport

     I’m working to bring a new current affairs framework to help #citizens (and #journalists!) make sense in this moment.

     The #FifthEstate is little respected by #MSM and traditional #journalism. This #project aims to change the dynamic, and help #news consumers find better #information, with a pathway to renewed credibility and civic engagement for all.
