   @pettter Eh, went actually been through a fair share of community spats at this point.
   
   What's funny is that I think most of the Mastodon vs Pleroma flamewars have largely died down, as the most toxic players all got defederated into their own bubbles.

     @sean I absolutely get it. It's weird, and not entirely positive.

     It remains to be seen how it shakes out, though. I'm not looking forward to when the first fan/antifan wars start to break out, especially with the object of fandom/antifandom there to fan (uh, pun not intended) the flames.

     It kind of makes me feel small to turn around and see famous people come to the network and suddenly have thousands of followers over the course of days.
     
     I know it doesn't ultimately matter, but it's weird to be in a space for almost half of your life, and suddenly see former Blue Checkmarks roll in and suddenly command a substantial following out of nowhere.
     
     Maybe I'm being insecure and petty, I dunno. It's just kind of a mindfuck.
