@BlinkRape Hows the feel with the buckling springs?

@kirby @BlinkRape Buckling Springs are great to type on, pretty loud though if you care about that. Still using a over 20 year old IBM model M.

@kirby Don't know, I don't own one. I've always been put off by the fact they own the molds but won't use the standard IBM LED layout and labels.
I have another brand mechanical, new in box, but I'm too afraid to use it because I know I'll just fuck it up and let it get dirty and cruddy

@kirby @shotgunner Model M's also have a natural curve built into the keybed that almost no other keyboards have replicated. Most are just flat, or have a linear angle.

@kirby @shotgunner It's almost impossible to describe how it feels. It's just a better experience, it has perfectly engineered tactile feedback.
probably similar to the difference between using a quality hand or power tool vs a cheap plastic chinese shit

@shotgunner @BlinkRape I've always wondered how the feel of typing on one is like. But I got a Logitech keyboard instead because I thought I just liked blue switches.

@shotgunner @kirby yeah nothing beats typing on a model M but they are pretty damn noisy
