As much as people scream “A.I. is theft,” here is the reality.
Microsoft is a $3T company. If it wants, it can buy entire portions of the entertainment industry. Actually, they’ve already done this with the video game business.
Amazon essentially owns the book industry already.
And Sony already owns Sony Music, one of the three big music labels.
The people driving A.I. are the same folks that already own the creative industry. Whether true or not, they can easily tell lawmakers “We need A.I. to keep our business viable.”
Is it bad that Google is training their A.I. on YouTube videos? Yes, but Google owns YouTube.
What can be done about this? Well, I already put all my content on atomicpoet.org. I’m not sure the average person will go through the effort for themselves, though.
