   A friend of mine, Emel Sherzad, does a show on a local public radio station (https://kfai.org/program/internationaljazzconspiracy/). For a while, the station made their DJs manually type in the names of all the tracks they play for the web playlist — and Emel just absolutely •hates• typing.

   His solution? Play the longest tracks possible. He’d find a nice 40-minute raga to kick things off, then maybe an hour-long free jazz improv….
