   Interesting paper- AI is not boosting your creativity

   “We found that support from an AI image generator during ideation leads to higher fixation on an initial example. Participants who used AI produced fewer ideas, with less variety and lower originality compared to a baseline.”

     @Talia In days of yore we used paper mockups of software user experiences. I recall attending a weekend workshop on design where the instructor explained that the mockups should look a little sloppy, e.g. hand-lettered.

     Claimed that high-fidelity mockups felt “done” and closed down creativity. Later, I tried a Mac drawing app called “napkin” designed around the same principle. Everything looked ad hoc.
