    @h3mmy @skaverat I guess the question refers to how some systems treat missing data as 0 and if this has any effect.

    There was a few stories about similar things.

    A guy got a license plate NULL and started getting tickets to random people from all over his state.

    Another person got harassed for stealing phones because tracking system put a pin on map at their house. Turns out the system didn’t have more precise data than a country so it put the pin at a geographic center of the USA which happens to coincide with that house.

      Null Island
      Null Island is the location at zero degrees latitude and zero degrees longitude (0°N 0°E), i.e., where the prime meridian and the equator intersect. The name is often used in mapping software as a placeholder to help find and correct database entries that have erroneously been assigned the coordinates 0,0. Although "Null Island" started as a joke within the geospatial community, it has become a useful means of addressing a recurring issue in geographic information science.
