@waldoj The appropriate way to handle that would have been, rather than quoting the BS, to say this:
"A campaign spokesperson replied to the Post's query with an attack on the news organization. She did not address the questions we asked."
Journalists: Don't quote liars. It's bad for your audience, and bad for your credibility as journalists. The only people it helps are the liars.
