Trying really hard not to write about politics today, but I meant what I said last night; all of this handwringing and attempted parsing about Trump's ominous statement is bullshit.
Either he meant "no more elections" or he meant "I'm going to fuck shit up so bad you won't be able to vote out the fundie fascist regime I install regardless."
The difference between these two things is extremely cosmetic. Stop trying to find ways to tell people American Hitler isn't serious. This is real yo.

@AnarchoNinaWrites I know we all knew this about him, but that clip should be covered primetime by every media outlet. It needs to pierce the Fox News bubble. Everyone voting for him this fall needs to sit with this and go in with the full understanding that they’re voting to install a dictator. I am so beyond sick of talking to white folks who insist that this is just about taxes or fucking whatever.

@AnarchoNinaWrites I think the thing that worries non-USians looking from the outside is, what are US citizens gonna do if the dude wins? Just say "well we tried" and close their eyes for 4 years while he fucks shit up? I don't think I've seen people organizing for the worst case scenario and THAT'S scary

@dinozombie I mean, I certainly hope not; I think there are a lot of American antifascists preparing just in case. But I sincerely doubt folks who know what time it is, are in the majority.
