     @inthehands we've pretty much abandoned bespoke work on machine learning and are trying to shoehorn this square LLM crap into a variety of shaped holes. Some just happen to be squares, which gets everyone prematurely excited.

     I despair.

     Well said.

     The •reality• of the motley collection of research we call “artificial intelligence” and “machine learning” is…quite interesting, actually! If only we could see it with clear eyes. But clear-eyed seeing and extracting money from investors are two things in •direct• conflict.
