@itsjustjenn The single biggest help I had when I fecked off to California was having a friend who agreed to let me put his address on my resume. All of the sudden, I was considered a local hire and got waaaay more call-backs.

Ok, so here's a question for anybody who's done it. I want to move. I'm ready to leave Missouri as soon as I can find a job in the Seattle area, where I've set my goal. I've put in a few applications and sent my resume to a couple places so far, but does anybody have any tips? How does one even best look for jobs in another city? How do you get past the "Uhh she's in a whole other state" thing?
I'm very serious. As soon as I get an offer for something I could support myself with, I'm out of here.
