   @mischievoustomato My GNUbooted thinkpad boots in roughly the same amount of time, although I "lose" a second or two from having to press enter on grub (as it doesn't assume you only want to boot).
   
   @Cocoa >over half of it is the UEFI initializing
   GNUboot inits in ~4 seconds.
