   Mechanical keyboard nerds… what would happen if I put my key caps through the dishwasher?

   If this isn’t a terrible idea from the start, I could do with some sort of fine-ish mesh tray, with a mesh cover, to keep them flat and together.

   And I suppose if I’m taking them all off anyway I could probably just give them a good clean one by one…

   …but UGH, it looks like a miserable job.

     @drandrewv2 I've found that soaking the key caps for a few hours in ~15% isopropyl alcohol and a squirt of washing up liquid gets the grime off without fuss, no individual scrubbing needed.

     @drandrewv2 I recently put the caps of my Cherry G80 in the laundry machine (in a mesh laundry bag). Used the short 30°C program and added just a little bit of dish soap. No complaints, went well.
