   Good gosh, over a quarter of a million dollars raised from Mastodon & the fediverse for Kamala Harris's presidential campaign — and here was me thinking money was tight for everyone & that's why funding for Fediverse software and servers was so low.

   I really hope we do a better job at supporting the platform we're all using in the future. Every little bit helps make this a better place.

     Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we can raise that type of money for Harris' campaign, I just wish we also did it for the platform we're promoting.

     To be fair, Fedi isn't a life-or-death struggle like the election is. Few will survive Project 2025. None will survive unscathed.

     If we want the Harris campaign & presidency on the Fediverse, that's going to require also supporting the Fediverse financially, not just the campaign.
