Folk leaning into aphorism of perfect vs. good, too oft do so by conflating extrinsic position with intrinsic nature.

That what was prior second-best evil is removed from array only changes what rests in second position.

Whether that item is second-best evil or just second item after evil… ain't make it good. If we're lucky, item in second position could be neutral.

Yet good or neutral entails intrinsic properties not contingent on position within array of choices.

Even with only two items.
