   What’s all this, then?

   Oh, I started working on Place¹ this week, it’s a peer-to-peer web-based personal social network and the final piece of the Small Web, alongside Kitten², and Domain³.

   I just started so there’s lots to do but I got the profile section working yesterday. Today, I’m onto implementing the follow protocol.

   Just like Domain, Place is, of course, written in Kitten.

     @cian It’s something else – a peer to peer web.

     Not saying it couldn’t interoperate at some level/point in the future but that’s not part of my current focus as the models are very different (ActivityPub/Mastodon is designed around servers with many “users”, the Small Web is designed for one server = one person, which means we can simplify many things and don’t need a bunch of stuff that’s in ActivityPub.) :)
