i run my own site, i know c++

i wish it was easier to understand and get into fediverse stuff

if i want to learn how to make something, publish something, all the tutorial start with "here are 30 technologies you've never heard of, throw them all together on a server and configure it in the 'standard way' then you're done!"

does anyone have any suggestions?
