US folks: This is the time of year Elections staff clean up the voter rolls. It's something that needs to be done, but some places are more … enthusiastic about removing as many names as possible.
Check your registration, especially if you haven't voted for 2 years or longer.
And then check again when the registration deadlines get closer.
Remember: if your vote doesn't matter, why are those enthusiastic types so anxious to take it from you?
