i literally never locked up the rear wheel from a bad throttle blip so i probably will never use the slipper clutch but it's interesting my versys-x 300 has a slipper

@0@gh0st.live is that something you'd use for offroading? the most offroading i'll do is just gravel roads in the mountains

@0@gh0st.live i doubt it, if i'm reading this right, basically the only thing it does is that if you downshift without blipping the throttle, all of a sudden your rear wheel does the equivalent of a clutch dump which can cause it to lose traction when the engine tries to eat all the torque and then none of it goes to the wheel, something like that. i doubt you'd be wanting that in offroading at all, slipper clutches only engage when there's a really high amount of torque

@shibao that's what i am wondering, i saw enough of an offroad course to realize i know very very little about it and that some people just really focus on it. no idea if that's a useful place for that.

@0@gh0st.live also even though this bike is way lighter than my prev 650, it's still pretty heavy and there's a big difference between this or a dual sport or even a dirt bike. but i can really feel the weight difference in how much easier it is to move around and stuff, pretty sure it's under 400 pounds even with all the extra shit i strapped to it :D

@shibao The Rebel is like that, ~400, I really can't wait to try the new dirt tires I got for it, still need to get new gear.
