Interesting. What brand of powder? I use muscletech and carnivore a few times a week.

There's a couple of theories about why it works.
First, it gets sugar into cells without insulin using nmtp pathways. This helps in people who have insulin resistance.
Second, it alters gut bacteria, leading to lower digestion of fats. There's a study out there where they gave rats with high fat diets berberine and their cholesterol, etc, were equivalent to the control group.
