   Honestly Kamala is not great in a lot of ways YET I feel very excited. Why is this, I wondered.

   I think for me it's that while she's decidedly not great in a lot of ways she truly represents a generational shift in leadership.

   While Obama was Gen X(?) he was very young /

     Harris on the other hand is truly a generation X leader in the traditional age band of leaders (50s and 60s).

     This represents a truly generational shift in the American political era, if she is elected, which I think America badly needs.
