     @Will2Power this is because the administrative state has grown strong and congress is unable or unwilling to use their power of the purse against them.
     
     The last noticeable time any power was exercised was, to my memory, the Church Commission.

     @sickburnbro Something is wrong if our government can't simply fire these people on the spot for not being able to answer simple questions like this. Same with (((Mayorkas))) and the open border.
