     @sickburnbro Maybe I just went to a super awesome school, but I remember them talking about the Founders being wealthy as part of that mythology. They also talked about how their wealth was destroyed by the Revolution, and many died in debt. You're supposed to respect the Founders for what they said and did, not for matching up exactly with your current demographic profile.

     @PunishedD that's the kind of "so guys here is the real stuff" you're supposed to get in high school.
     
     In elementary school you're supposed to learn about eagles and how to sing "America the Beautiful" In middle school you learn the states and their capitals and maybe some state history like "these are the indians that were here, and here is one instance of when we tried to get along with them"
