     @kaia@brotka.st You also may be running in to the alternate uptick rule, if you’re on a US exchange. It basically makes it so you have to limit short slightly above the offer (this is handled behind the scenes for you) to open.

     @kaia problem with shorts is that they have unlimited downside because they are the inverse of going long, which has unlimited upside
