   Normal folks hating on C++: it’s an old and memory unsafe programming language.

   Me hating on C++: there is a convicted rapist and registered sex offender on the C++ committee and the committee leadership worked really hard to keep him there.

     All of these people, all still on the board, spent a whole year figuring out how to protect a man convicted of rape and possession of CSAM and, knowing about his conviction, paid for him to attend CppCon while they encouraged parents to bring their children there.

     The C++ foundation is a trash organization that kicked out anyone who wouldn’t vote for a rapist to teach beginners at CppCon. And CppCon… I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole, I would strongly recommend against giving any money to it. And you couldn’t pay me enough to join the C++ committee.

     So I guess the abusers won.

     But to be honest, I think C++ lost.
