     :aniwhat: bruh, if I wanted privacy I'd ask her if she had a pgp key, I'm using an old ass nokia brick phone and typing sms on it takes fore ever, while your standard keyboard doesn't have that issue.
     
     I'll add that paranoia would be correct in a context where the current govs didn't put in place the worldwide surveillance and droning we have today.
     
     But go explain that to normies with proprietary brain damage. Strangely they'll believe in all of the garbage on there but not on the reality that govs are using the collected data via spying or datamined from proprietary social media to make their lives miserable.

     @mangeurdenuage so next time you see her, you have to have a valid alternative. even if it's just calling her with her permission. you can't expect her to write emails to you. she'd have to be in love with you to do that honestly. but by then you could also ask her to install IRC or XMPP or whatever.

     @mangeurdenuage if she's a normie girl, she won't use emails that much if at all. she has her friends on WhatsApp, Telegram, that dumb Facebook messenger, maybe even Singal. and you inconvenience her by asking her to use sth else. email is a considerably higher hurdle since it's almost like a love letter. it requires a certain form "Hello mdn, how are you doing? Would you like to join me on the 25th of this month for brunch" and then it requires a time for you to answer. it's not instant. it's not how she communicates with her other friends. it's a big ask.

     I would have loved to do so but we had agreed that she would hail be back went I had sent her my address via sms, which she did not.
