     @icedquinn I think its really the “here is the big thing” feedback loop.

     Like bitching about GW gets clicks because everyone hates GW, but then they can’t leave because people want to hear bitching about GW so it just loops endlessly. They have to buy the new stuff so they can bitch about it.

     @jamie gimp is hot garbage. krita has surpassed it in most every way (except, maybe, sprite art, because krita doesn't support 8-bit palettes correctly)

     @icedquinn True enough. I mean GIMP isn’t amazing but most people definitely do not need photoshop. Why even pirate it, just use something else. Pirating it still gives it marketshare. Adobe Premier is a buggy piece of shit, but it is legit good. But it was so expensive, I mean, fuck it, I’ll just use kdenlive – its buggy too but its easy to use and I’m not a real video person so its good enough. It’s actually less crashy than premier these days lol.

     Also I’m just not interested in pirating software these days. If there is software that’s good I don’t mind paying for it. There is nothing wrong with paying for quality – provided I’m actually getting quality, usually I’m not.
