     @pfefferle what is the benefit of short links now that we aren’t trying to cram a bunch of text plus a link into a single 160 character text message?

     Why even shorten the link? It WILL break. The questions is when. Directly linking to the original reduces the risk.

     For everything not digital/online. For print articles for example... for dictating a URL to someone on the phone...
