   @kiwi @seachanger The most horrible part of all of this--and there are many--is I find myself wishing for the DNC to do its classic jujitsu and just install her. I don't think anyone else can be nominee bc $$ and while I think a proper primary would have been much better, it may indeed be substantially less beneficial to go thru a big fight now for various reasons

     @inquiline @kiwi same. if he steps down for health reasons this late in the game, elevating the VP candidate is the most democratic thing they can do after states have held primaries, IMO
