Google’s largest acquisition of all time being a cybersecurity startup (Motorola was $12.5B) is a testament to how bad things are on the security front across the industry as I mentioned a few days ago.

It’s also an opportunity to attack Microsoft’s recent public failures.

Given the prevalence of data breaches and ransomware attacks in the news, this is an investment with a clearer ROI than any money spent on Gemini and other generative AI efforts at Google.
