I hate the fact that the whole custom keyboard firmware is just so completely anglocentered...

Most docs don't even deign explain the fact that while their fancy editor let's you map each key to a letter, you are in fact mapping them a keycode that will then be interpreted by the keyboard layout used by your OS. And its just assumed its set to qwerty...
