     @alpha1beta Yeah, I just woke up less than an hour ago & into all of this chaos! This is crazy!

     Worse is that there are already conspiracy theories on both sides, as well as people praising the (now dead) assassin.

     Note: The #SecretService already scans the #Fediverse, so those individuals praising the shooter will be tracked down (if they are outside #America 🇺🇸 the #CIA will get involved).

     @alpha1beta It’s an open secret that the US government scans all public social media accounts online (which has become much easier thanks to the #NSA).

     Here is an example of one incident: https://www.wired.com/story/secret-service-investigated-me-twitter/

     I talked to another guy who was investigated in my city by #SecretService over a deleted #Facebook post (he said something threatening about #BarackObama).

     Secret Service was in his business for 18 months afterward but did not arrest him after he sincerely apologized.
