   I don't follow football. I don't really care who wins. I sometimes watch sports and can be happy for an English participant who succeeds. I can not be arsed with idiot English commentators or with nasty arrogant arsehole fans. They are the reason for the "anyone but England" mindset that seems to extend well beyond Scotland. Their response to UK media demands that England be supported by everyone else goes beyond football.

     "England's Fear of Failure" is exactly right. A very insecure country.

     @djm_black they are correct to be afraid of failure. England seems to be failing by very many measures. Unfortunately, like with the football, they demand that everyone else follows them on that path.

     @djm_black I don't even think the concept computes. "The best country in the world" could never be a failure. Anyone who points out the obvious gets called nasty names.
