To its credit, this list has quite a bit of more recent fiction on it, by a lot more diverse set of authors than these lists normally have. I never view these lists as worth quibbling over, but I do like pointing out ones that can be used as a reading list of pretty good SF that aren't the same old same old.
(Anyone who responds to this post arguing whether something belongs on a top SF list is missing my point.)
