     @laetsgo I know less about Melenchon, but I can believe it. I have however studied the Labour Party report on Corbyn's supposed antisemitism and I can say with absolute confidence that it was the result of a Palace Coup that lied, smeared people, and used a bullshit definition of antisemitism that says directly that "being against Israel (and its colonialist project) is antisemitic" to drive much of Labour's left wing out of power/office/public life.

     I bet it's much more difficult to get alter media/info in the US now as it used to be
     even if the internet (who was supposed to give everyone access to knowledge) was invented by you (OK by the army originally, but anyway)

     @laetsgo This is true. Every 30 years or so our government has violently crushed left wing protest movements, from the IWW at the turn of the 20th Century, on through the Occupy and Black Lives Matter movements in our present day. Dozens of times.

     I just wish fear of repression didn't stop us - because the repression will always be there, and if we won't fight the police in the streets, the fascists will continue to win.

     @laetsgo Fair, but my replies are often a terrible place full of very angry people, so I wanted to ask you before I exposed you to potential muppets who want to argue about why doing the same old thing that brought us all this fascism is the only adult way forward. I'm ready for that, I fight that battle every day - but I hate to subject people who aren't me to it without asking them.

     @laetsgo Yes, that has been happening in America too. It seems to be the plan. Nevermind that much of the fascist coalition is full of ACTUAL nazis who hate Jewish people, the left is "antisemitic" for opposing a genocide.

     That seems to be the playbook everywhere I look: France, the UK, America, Canada, all the same.

     but workers/people's rights have never been achieved through elections & democracy : it's the strikes, people's empowerment when taking to the streets and so on
     and we should really de-privatize the media who are brainwashing us
     in short : overthrow capitalism (but it has a way of winning over like the ultimate parasite 😡 )
